The role involves overseeing capital planning processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing overall risk governance. You will play a key part in developing and implementing methodologies for capital adequacy assessment, working closely with stakeholders across the organization.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and enhance capital planning and overall ICAAP governance, ensuring robust risk management and compliance with evolving regulations.
* Drive and enhance the risk management and risk controlling of the group, taking ownership of key areas such as RWA calculation, risk appetite, risk policies, and decision-making frameworks, limit setting and monitoring, and internal controls.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as MaRisk, CRR, ICAAP guidelines, and EBA regulatory expectations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Treasury, and Risk, to align capital planning with business and risk strategy to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
* Continuously improve risk reporting by developing insightful analyses that support decision-making and capital adequacy discussions.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, on ICAAP and capital planning matters.
Requirements:
* Background & Skills:
* Master's degree in business/economics, finance, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial risk controlling, or capital planning within the banking sector.
* Strong understanding of ICAAP frameworks, stress testing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, CRR, EBA guidelines).
* Proven experience in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks, particularly in capital planning and risk appetite setting, ensuring alignment with business and risk strategy.
* Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with an ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable insights.
* Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels; proficiency in German is a strong advantage for interacting with local regulators and stakeholders.
