As we continue our rapid expansion across Central Europe, we are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Strategic Hunter Account Executive to join our team in Germany.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of Germany’s leading banking and financial services account, which is recognised as one of the world’s most influential financial institutions. This is a high-visibility opportunity to deepen relationships, explore new business avenues, and deliver transformative outcomes in collaboration with a global leader in the sector.
Reporting to our Director of Enterprise Sales, as a Strategic Hunter Account Executive at Databricks, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and securing new opportunities within this major account. You are a true hunter — establishing executive-level connections, uncovering untapped potential, and positioning Databricks as the premier platform for data, analytics, and AI innovation.
You will be leveraging your extensive banking vertical expertise, along with your solutions sales experience in selling technical solutions in data/AI, advanced Analytics to inspire the client’s vision and help shape how they leverage these technologies to drive business outcomes. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate demand, close high-value deals, and expand Databricks’ influence within one of the most significant financial institutions.

4. Draw on your experience selling cloud-based solutions to navigate enterprise cycles, secure executive sponsorship, and deliver beyond customer expectations.
5. Work closely with Databricks teams and selected partners to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of this flagship German bank.
6. Apply your sales expertise to close sophisticated business and drive clear, measurable results within this key account.
What we look for:
7. Demonstrated passion and experience in selling complex, technical cloud solutions, with the drive to understand and translate advanced technology into business outcomes.
8. Extensive banking vertical knowledge and understanding of the complexities and nuances of this sector. a track record of selling into Large, Enterprise Banking/FS accounts is essential.
9. Proven experience of selling into Large/Global enterprise accounts
10. 5+ years of hands-on experience working with open source technologies, and a strong background in advising on build-versus-buy decisions for enterprise clients.
11. Proven track record in selling big data, AI/Analytics, cloud based SaaS solutions, with expertise navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
12. An understanding of, or experienced in selling consumption model solutions is highly desirable.
13. 5–10 years of applying value-based selling methodologies, consistently positioning technology solutions around measurable customer impact and ROI.
14. Creative, resourceful sales professional with a structured and proactive prospecting motion—capable of building a sustainable pipeline from scratch.
15. Consistently exceeded sales quotas, showing a results-driven approach and commitment to surpassing ambitious targets.
16. Grit, resilience, and tenacity—excited by the challenge of opening greenfield accounts, building new relationships, and driving growth in untapped territories.
17. Fluency in German and English is essential.
