The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.
Your new responsibilities
* Serve as the local Business Application Owner for Run-To-Run, Defect Management, and Yield Management systems: understand business requirements, identify gaps, and act as the primary contact for business stakeholders
* Translate manufacturing and process-related requirements into functional system configurations and business rules
* Analyze business requirements, develop and configure necessary system adjustments, perform tests, and document results
* Collaborate closely with the global team and external software vendors, contributing your own ideas
* Proactively identify and propose system improvements (e.g., AI), and provide consulting services regarding new features and existing solutions
* Handle production incidents: act as the primary business contact and coordinate resolution with IT teams
What we look for
* Successfully completed university degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study
* Initial professional experience in Data Science or as a Product Engineer, ideally in the semiconductor industry and process control (required)
* Experience with Linux and cloud/databases (Oracle, SQL) is desirable
* Knowledge in AI/ML and scripting (e.g., Python) is an advantage
* Strong team spirit when working with users and colleagues in Germany and Malaysia
* Independent working style, analytical mindset, and hands‑on mentality
* Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
