Company Description
MIR Insight forecasts demand and price developments in the materials industry, enabling companies to reduce waste and minimize losses. We build the world's most comprehensive forecasting pipeline using billions of market data for leading industry players such as Lenzing AG, K.D. Feddersen, and Jobachem, supported by international investors. Our goal is to provide our users with innovative, reliable, and user-friendly software so they can minimise losses and waste.
Your Mission
As our Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding MIR Insight’s footprint among mid-sized and large industrial companies in the DACH region and surrounding European markets. You’ll identify and approach decision-makers in supply chain, procurement, and executive leadership — building trusted relationships, understanding their forecasting pain points, and securing high-quality sales opportunities for our team.
What You’ll Do
* Identify and qualify target companies and key decision-makers in core industries (e.g. chemicals, textiles, plastics, base materials).
* Develop a tailored outreach strategy: LinkedIn, warm calls, networking, and targeted emails — always focused on relationship-building rather than mass spam.
* Initiate first conversations to understand each prospect’s unique supply chain and forecasting challenges.
* Schedule high-quality discovery meetings and demos together with our forecasting experts or senior sales leads.
* Attend selected industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
* Keep accurate records in our CRM and provide weekly updates on pipeline development and activity.
* Work closely with the marketing team to align on messaging and campaigns that support your outreach.
* Share on-the-ground market insights to help shape sales strategy and service positioning.
What You Bring
* 2–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in industrial markets (e.g. raw materials, chemicals, manufacturing tech, procurement software).
* Proven ability to generate and qualify leads with mid- and senior-level industrial decision-makers.
* Comfortable speaking credibly about supply chain, procurement, or production processes.
* Fluent in German and English; other European languages are a plus.
* Organized self-starter who thrives in an early-stage, high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment.
* Willingness to travel for industry events or client visits if needed.
What We Offer
* Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission.
* Opportunity to shape MIR Insight’s growth in a key market.
* Work closely with an ambitious, supportive, and international team.
* Flexibility to work remotely and manage your own schedule.
* Professional development and travel opportunities.
