Job Overview
The Senior Director Global Supplier Management reports directly into the VP of Operations, and leads the Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management NPI, Supplier Development with supplier development driven by continuous improvement (lean manufacturing and quality), and Consignment/logistics functions of TE Connectivity’s ICT business. Responsible for $240M+ of direct spend and 2000 global suppliers, this position owns to set up a Global Strategy and improving the performance and transformation of the global Procurement organization, supply base, processes, systems to enable ICT’s strategy and significantly scale the business.
Job Requirements
Design, implement, and realize a global procurement strategy that accelerates business and customer results
Implement the organizational design best positioned to realize the strategy and maximize performance
Recruit and develop talent and a pipeline of bench strength that transforms the organization
Improve the performance of tactical purchasing across seven global manufacturing sites, and thirteen global engineering centers sites with direct and indirect reporting responsibility.
Accelerate KPI performance across delivery, quality, lead time, supply continuity, cost, inventory, and cash
Publish performance dashboards, reports, KPI’s, and performance improvement plans
Transform the legacy supply base into a future-focused, optimized model designed to support ICT's growth.
Optimize regional and global sourcing strategies that consolidate spend and supplier count
Evaluate, measure, and mitigate supply continuity risk
Generate and oversee category management and strategic sourcing strategies
Negotiate contracts and agreements and ensure adequate coverage and optimized terms across the supply base
Implement inventory and supply continuity optimization measures such as VMI, Kanban, and consignment stock
Improve the NPI process and Procurement’s impact to supplier selection, qualification, and launch readiness
Maintain and collaborate with other functions on VAVE and savings pipelines that reduce costs annually
Oversee supply plans capable of meeting demand and define and improve supplier capacity and capability
Support monthly SI&OP processes and supply planning initiatives
Collaborate with Center-led Procurement on Electronics, Raw Metals, Resins and indirect categories as well as on compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Develop and realize strategies to improve department efficiencies reducing functional costs per revenue
Lead technology and digital transformation strategies and initiatives
What Your Background Should Look Like
Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or Finance
10+ years of leadership experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Operations functions
Global, high complexity and mix, manufacturing environments
Proven track record of organizational and functional transformation leadership of 25-50+ person team(s)
Change management attitude and experience
Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to consensus building and problem solving
Willingness and ability to coach and influence broadly across a matrixed, multiculture organization
Executive-level presentation and messaging to articulate strategies, actions, needs, and business impacts
Highly competent across Procurement and manufacturing competencies, systems, and practices
Proficient with ERP systems, business intelligence applications, data mining, and analysis
Advanced Planning and Supplier Collaboration platform experience is a bonus
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification or equivalent preferred

Travel Requirements: Up to 30% (domestic and international)
