A fast-growing international renewable energy platform is expanding its European footprint and entering the German market, the largest electricity market in Europe. As Senior Project Development Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Partner Germany, you will join an entrepreneurial team at the forefront of the energy transition. You will play a key role in the company’s market entry and long-term growth in Germany, working across both greenfield development and M&A opportunities.
Develop and expand the existing German project pipeline; identify new project opportunities and secure grid connections, sites, and related development activities for BESS, wind, solar, and hybrid assets
Lead energy project development activities from interconnection and permitting through to ready-to-build status and start of construction
Manage project business cases and support financial modelling and procurement activities
Support project financing discussions and negotiations
Contribute to the German market strategy and help identify future clean power opportunities in a fast-evolving regulatory and market environment
5–10 years’ experience developing large-scale renewable energy projects, ideally within a renewable energy developer, IPP, or grid operator environment; specialisation in renewable energy, environment, or project management is a plus
~ Hands-on experience with German permitting and planning processes for infrastructure projects, preferably renewable energy and/or battery storage
~ Proven track record managing grid interconnection processes with German TSOs/DSOs, including connection requests and technical requirements
~ Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional languages are a plus
