Your area of responsibility
* Develop, maintain, and enhance firmware for embedded systems across platforms such as TI C2000, ARM Cortex, Microchip PIC, STM32, NXP MKE14Z, and ProASIC
* Design, implement, and verify FPGA solutions for scan‑amplifier systems using Altera FPGAs with Quartus Prime or comparable development environments
* Collaborate closely with international, cross‑functional teams to integrate new tools and standardize firmware development practices; occasional international travel may be required
* Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize firmware and FPGA designs to ensure high performance and reliability
* Create clear and structured documentation and actively support knowledge transfer within the team in accordance with established global processes

Your profile
* Proven experience in embedded firmware development on microcontroller platforms such as TI C2000, ARM Cortex, or comparable architectures, using bare‑metal approaches and/or schedulers or real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
* Hands‑on experience in FPGA design using VHDL and/or Verilog
* Experience working within structured stage‑gate development processes, including both peer reviews and formal design reviews
* Solid understanding of Z‑domain mathematics with practical experience in algorithm development and implementation
* Strong programming skills in C and C++
* Basic understanding of electronics, particularly as applied to power supplies and power electronics
* Experience in industrial environments and/or high‑voltage applications is considered a strong advantage
* Team‑oriented mindset combined with the ability to work proactively and independently
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
