Über uns:

We are UKM. We have a clear social mission, and with our focus on healthcare, research, and teaching, we bear a unique responsibility. To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific expertise in the Institute of Cell Biology at the Centre for Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE) in collaboration with the Institute of Reproductive and Regenerative Biology at the Centre of Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA). Here, we investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying vascular and lymphatic control of gonad development, using advanced imaging, zebrafish models, and organoid systems. Our research aims to understand how vascular and lymphatic networks shape stem-cell niches, germ cell maturation, and fertility - ideally with you on board! The University Hospital of Münster is one of the leading hospitals in Germany. Such a position cannot be achieved by size and medical successes alone. The individual commitment counts above all. We need your commitment so that even with little things we can achieve great things for our patients. There are many possibilities open for you so that you may develop with them.

Aufgaben:

* Conduct research on vascular and lymphatic regulation of gonad development using zebrafish as a vertebrate model
* Apply and develop methodologies such as in vivo imaging, CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing, single-cell transcriptomics, and analysis of vascular and lymphatic mutants
* Work with human iPSC-derived gonadal organoids (Optional/depending on project focus)
* Analyze, document, and present research findings; contribute to publications and conference presentations
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research environment across ZMBE, CeRA, MIC, and MPI
* Part of Research Innovation

Qualifikationen:

* Master's degree in life sciences (biology, biomedicine, or related field)
* Experience in microscopy, molecular biology, imaging analysis, or zebrafish research is advantageous
* Strong interest in developmental biology, vascular biology, and/or reproductive biology
* Strong communication skills in English and motivation for independent scientific work

Wir bieten:

* Salary according to tariff agreement, extra annual payment, and company pension plan (VBL)
* 30 days of vacation per year, plus two additional days off on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
* A wide range of training and professional development opportunities
* A respectful and appreciative work environment within a diverse team
* Support and advisory services for health and work-life balance
* Additional benefits such as sports programs, job ticket, company events, cafeteria, and emergency childcare
* A stimulating research environment with access to state-of-the-art imaging, zebrafish, and sequencing facilities, and collaborations with leading experts in developmental and reproductive biology
* Exciting Projects
* Professional Development and Training
