You will be key in the effort to engage with all company staff operating within the Dortmund site to ensure adherence to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). Participate in different European projects that drive innovation and exceed customer expectations.

Serve as the focal point for support and implementation of the corporate EHS programs and software systems.
Perform EHS audits/inspections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are developed and implemented on a timely basis.
Provide support of appropriate occupational hygiene related policies and programs.
Support and maintain the implementation of the Company’s EHS management systems strategy (ISO14001 and 45001)
Become the technical expert to implement the Corporate EHS online training system
Coordinate with Local/Regional Engineering on any facility construction/demolition projects
Supervise EHS consultants and contractors hired to perform EHS services such as EHS legal compliance audit, samples collection, noise measurements, air emissions, industrial hygiene testing, fit testing, etc.
Interact with regulatory agencies during compliance inspections. Coordinate with other members of EHS department at EMEA, specially from the other German facilities.
Solid experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety discipline, with a strong focus on safety; ideally in chemical, oil & gas, food, or related manufacturing industries.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional certification, formal EHS training, and relevant practical experience.
Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit ) and/or additional specialized environmental or safety education required in cases where a bachelor’s degree is not held.
Knowledge of and some implementation experience with applicable industry standards including but not limited to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, Responsible Care, etc.
Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and O365, with the ability to quickly learn new IT systems.
