The Role:
The Supply Chain Process & Systems team develops in-house systems to support reliable and efficient supply chain operations across Tesla. Our scope covers EMEA, and we work closely with our stakeholders in North America to implement global changes in Tesla's supply chain systems.
As a Supply Chain Planning Systems Engineer, you will act as the product manager for planning systems used in Vehicle Material Planning, Service Material Planning, and Service Distribution Planning within EMEA. You will develop new features to meet operational needs, resolve bugs, provide daily system support and troubleshooting to Ops teams, and manage the planning product roadmap. This role requires close collaboration with Ops, Dev and Product teams across EMEA and North America. It is a highly visible position that serves as a bridge between IT and operations, handling projects having global impact. To succeed, you must be self-motivated, and able to think strategically while diving into details.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with Ops & Dev teams globally to develop efficient features and solutions in our in-house systems that support scalability and growth.
- Provide daily system support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs to ensure smooth operations for planning teams across EMEA.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for simplification, optimization, and automation in planning processes and systems.
- Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain planning operations and internal systems.
- Manage the planning systems roadmap, including gathering requirements, designing the solution, UAT testing, deployment and post-roll out support.
- Conduct analytical analysis by querying data through SQL to assess needs, priorities, and system performance.
- Deliver regular updates on upcoming changes, roadmap progress, and process health in change board meetings
- Define and monitor KPIs to track operational performance and apply data-driven methods to improve reliability and efficiency.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's / master's degree in science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.
- Experience in supply chain planning operations
- Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems like SAP, and ability to apply this to custom-built systems
- Experience managing software development projects or products in a business or technical role.
- Evidence of strong presentation & technical skills
- Structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Ability to drive strategic discussions and turn strategy into action.
- Collaborative, flexible working style with the ability to build trust and credibility.
