Objectives and Responsibilities of the Position
The role is part of the Finance and Accounting department with a focus on financial reporting, controlling, and project work. Another key focus is the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
Key responsibilities
* Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Support for budgeting and forecasting for multiple entities
* Performing actual vs. budget comparisons, variance analyses, commentary, cost accounting, ad-hoc evaluations, as well as deriving and tracking measures
* Assisting with data consolidation and preparing monthly reports for the UK-based parent company
* Independently creating profitability analyses and taking ownership of and coordinating projects and special topics
* Developing and continuously improving ongoing controlling processes
* Supporting management with controlling-related tasks (e.g., cost center controlling, investment controlling, CAPEX controlling, etc.)
* Acting as a central point of contact and sparring partner for other departments, with close collaboration with the accounting team
Qualifications
* Successfully completed degree in business administration with a focus on Controlling / Accounting
* 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in Controlling / Reporting / FP&A in a manufacturing company
* Experience in an international corporation or consulting firm
* Knowledge of international accounting standards is an advantage
* Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
* Independent working style
* Strong analytical skills
