Procurement & Resource Manager
As the Procurement & Resource Manager at IP Innovative Power GmbH, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s procurement and resource operations, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and compliance with sustainability goals. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will oversee the sourcing and contracting of electricity, gas, and other essential resources, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the accurate handling of all related commercial and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Operations
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for energy and operational resources (electricity, gas, oil, etc.) aligned with company objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and contract negotiations to secure the best commercial and technical terms.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate policies, sustainability targets, and regulatory standards.
• Utilize ERP and procurement platforms to manage purchase orders, supplier databases, and cost tracking.
Resource & Cost Management
• Monitor the company’s resource consumption and cost structure, ensuring efficient utilization and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Support the balancing group operations by coordinating energy purchasing, forecasting, and reporting.
• Analyze energy market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
• Drive initiatives to reduce costs, improve transparency, and support long-term energy strategy.
Billing, Invoicing & Compliance
• Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of supplier invoicing and payments.
• Validate supplier invoices against contracts and delivery data, resolving discrepancies in collaboration with Finance.
• Maintain full compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and legal obligations.
• Ensure all supplier and procurement documentation is up to date and audit-ready.
Supplier Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and alignment with contractual obligations.
• Support escalation management and issue resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure seamless procurement-to-payment workflows.
• Support strategic projects by providing procurement insights, supplier risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Assist in preparing resource consumption reports and procurement KPIs for management review.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Energy Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in procurement or resource management, preferably within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of contract law, supplier management, and energy market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems (Odoo or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
