As a Product Scientist, you’ll take a hands-on role in our lab, pioneering developing and optimizing our new ingredient to push the boundaries of taste and sustainability.
A Taste of What to Expect
* Develop coffee-like flavor systems from non coffee raw materials using thermal, chemical, or similar processing approaches
* Ensure flavor generation and preservation through all process steps
* Define development pathways and technical milestones
* Own technical decisions balancing flavor, cost and scalability
* Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) to guide flavor generation and process development with data-driven decisions
* Support product & process development team, from lab to industrial production, including process transfer and troubleshooting
* Refine testing protocols, analytical methods, and lab equipment for accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency
* Drive and generate patentable innovations and patent applications thereof
The Perfect Recipe of Skills & Experience
* At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in flavor/R&D, ideally in the coffee industry
* Proven track record in Maillard and Flavor Chemistry
* Experience owning and executing R&D projects end-to-end
* Strong lab skills, you are comfortable designing, running, and analyzing practical experiments
* Team player with a collaborative mindset and a drive to push boundaries in food innovation
* Strong sense for cost engineering and regulatory needs
* Detail-oriented, precise, and methodical in documentation and experimental records
* Knowledge of patent processes and IP protection in product innovation
