Description JOB SUMMARY The Payroll Manager is responsible for the processing and reviewing of payroll for above property entities, to include but not limited to, Switzerland, Serbia, Macedonia, Sweden, Turkey, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Morrocco and Nigeria. The role is responsible for ensuring the vendor payroll contracts are compliant, and the terms are adhered to on a day-to-day basis, and has overall responsibility of both the payroll process and the payments and submissions of data to tax authorities and other necessary third parties. SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT / EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Responsibilities Facilitates the end-to-end payroll process for above property entities. Ensure vendor compliance and service are at a satisfactory level, and contracts are current and compliant with Marriott policy and procedure. Review and processing of invoices for payroll vendor services. Primary point of contact for the output of payroll information from payroll providers, ensuring necessary reviews have taken place for monthly payroll. Collaborates with external payroll providers to ensure a seamless payroll process. Management of payroll calendar for each market Identifies and implements improvements in monthly payroll processes. Inputter and approver for various system and reporting requirements including, but not limited to, system configuration changes, submissions to Tax Authorities, processes by exception, payroll payment release and pension schemes Works alongside HR colleagues to ensure all data input has been successfully processed. Supports key Continent relationships with HR, Compensation & Benefits, Entity Management and Tax Partners with HR & Compensation & Benefits on various benefits schemes, ensuring accurate implementation and management Ensure assistance and support is provided for HR queries related to Payroll output Liaise with Accounting team to ensure all necessary wage types/pay elements are posting accurately to GL Support the Accounting team with balance sheet reconciliation back up Support with statutory reporting in each market Support with audit reporting requirements Support payroll project team with ad hoc tasks Communicates process challenges to Senior Stakeholders Other tasks as assigned by the Director, Payroll EMEA CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED REQUIRED: A minimum of five years’ experience working within a Payroll function Applicants must have the legal right to work in the country of application at the time of application.
