Your Job:
1. You will work on the development of (meta)data extraction tools from electronic lab notebooks
2. You will create tools for data transformation and integration from electronic lab notebooks to standardized data containers (, RO-Crates)
3. You will be involved in the maintenance of other tools from the field of research data management (, Data Management Plan Generator, Ontology Curation Tools)
4. You will collaborate closely with domain scientists to ensure that the developed tools and models align with real-world scientific workflows in plant sciences and chemistry, and demonstrate their application in concrete scientific use cases
5. You will present the scientific results at project meetings and international conferences and publish them in scientific journals
Your Profile:
6. Master´s Degree or PhD in data science or bioinformatics with strong experience in software development for front-end and back-end solutions and research data management
7. Knowledge in programming languages (Python, HTML and JavaScript)
8. Profound knowledge and experience with data managements topics such as Electronic Lab Notebooks, ontologies, data containers, FAIR data, etc.
9. Knowledge and experience in ontology development / controlled vocabularies as well as data curation is advantageous
10. Structured and analytical thinking as well as a systematic, careful working method
11. Willingness to complement and collaborate with existing research units at the research center
12. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
13. Working knowledge of German is a plus
