At John Paul Construction, we believe every project is an opportunity to improve on what’s come before. To foster that mindset, we hire the brightest and best in the industry, encourage collaboration, and embrace innovative thinking and new technology.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a Project Director to deliver a large Data Centre in Frankfurt, Germany.
This pivotal role ensures that all key elements of the project are delivered to the required standards and perform as intended — safely, efficiently, and in line with design specifications and compliance requirements. You’ll lead a team of managers, engineers, and specialists, work closely with contractors and clients, and play a central role in delivering technically sound and fully operational systems on every project.
This role will be based in Frankfurt, with occasional travel to Ireland.

* Lead the assigned project with full accountability, carrying complete responsibility for safety, programme delivery, quality, and commercial performance.
* Define and drive the strategic priorities for the project, ensuring all activities support the wider business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders, nurturing trust and ensuring long-term partnership potential.
* Continuously improve the project’s operating approach by implementing best-practice initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
* Ensure the project team has the right capabilities, commitment, and motivation by developing talent, supporting retention, and identifying future leaders within the team.
* Maintain full compliance with all applicable rules, guidelines, and processes established by John Paul Construction.
* Champion and reinforce a positive project culture that values diversity, inclusion, and respect, encouraging a wide range of perspectives and experiences.
* Foster a strong spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and open communication across the entire project team.
* Strengthen relationships within the local market — working closely with architects, design consultants, clients, supply chain partners, and internal colleagues — through transparent communication and effective collaboration.
Requirements
* 20+ years of experience in the execution of construction projects in positions of increasing responsibility.
* Demonstrable track record of delivering complex DC projects.
* Excellent knowledge of the engineering sector (customers, competitors, subcontractors/suppliers, authorities).
* Structural Engineering / Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
