Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and support of ISP and OSP fiber networks within data center environments
* Working as the senior fiber specialist within an assigned engineering team
* Fusion splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fibers, including mass-fusion ribbon splicing
* Installation and dressing of splice closures, joint boxes, ODFs, and BFPs
* OTDR testing (1310 / 1550), ILM testing, and power meter testing
* Interpretation of test traces and production of customer-ready test documentation
* Fault response and incident support, including on-call and night works on a rotation basis
* Ensuring accurate labelling, fiber management, and as-built documentation
* Working on live networks under strict change management procedures
* Compliance with data center inductions, security processes, and documentation requirements
Skills / Must have:
* Strong experience in ISP and OSP fiber works within metro, long-haul, and data center environments
* Proven experience working with high-fiber-count cables (96F–288F+, up to 3456F)
* Hands-on experience working on live networks
* Excellent knowledge of fiber installation (blown and pulled) and testing methodologies
* Experience producing structured, auditable test packs
* Familiarity with operator standards (e.g. Zayo, euNetworks, EXA, Colt)
* Fluent German and English (minimum B2 German, ideally C1, with strong technical vocabulary)
* Ability to work within data center environments and complete mandatory inductions and security checks
* Flexibility to participate in on-call, night, and weekend work when required
* Ability to mobilise quickly within the Frankfurt region (target incident response: 15 minutes)
