We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.Your roleSupport further developing and expanding the SEDAN team, its research, and role in shaping interdisciplinary research, in making AI secure, by developing new Cybersecurity paradigms for AIShape and supervise research direction at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, including defensive and offensive security mechanismsLead and contribute to the development and management of national and international projects in SEDAN, including proposal preparation, reporting, and coordination with external partnersFoster collaborations across disciplines - in particular between cybersecurity and AI with private and public stakeholders in Luxembourg and abroadContribute to teaching activities at the Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels in topics such as AI security, network cybersecurityProvide daily and content supervision of PhD candidates and support doctoral and postdoctoral training; e.G., research seminars, reading groups, workshops, and conferencesRepresent SnT and SEDAN in academic and public venues, strengthening the visibility of cybersecurity research in Luxembourg and abroadThe successful candidate will become a member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, within the SEDAN research group, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Radu STATE, Full Professor at the University of Luxembourg.Your profileA PhD in management and security of network security, cybersecurity, or system securityAt least five years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience in computer networks, cybersecurity or AIRecent research experience with security of LLM, RAG systems, and/or agentic systems, LLM testing, monitoring and their managementA strong publication record in top-tier Cybersecurity venues and/or AI conferencesProven experience in funding acquisition, project management, and coordination of several national and international, and EU projects as well as industry collaborationsProven experience in teaching and supervising MSc, PhD students, PostDoC and in leadership in steering their researchProven integrity and capacity to handle sensitive or dual-use research responsibly, respecting confidentiality and ethical principlesActive engagement in the research community; e.G., programme committees, invited talks, workshop organisation, and commitment to open, collaborative science Language requirements:The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual and multicultural context.
