Are you looking to take your risk management expertise to the next level in a dynamic and international banking environment ? Our client, a well-established bank in Luxembourg, is expanding its Risk Management team and seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to help shape the Bank's risk strategy and ensure a robust, forward-looking approach to all key risks.
This is a hands-on role where you will have direct exposure to senior management, contribute to strategic risk decisions, and play a central part in maintaining the Bank's strong risk culture while navigating the complexities of the Luxembourg regulatory environment.
What you will do
* Actively identify, assess, monitor, and report risks, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, and ICT risks .
* Work closely with business units (1st line of defence) to ensure risks are effectively managed and mitigated .
* Contribute to the preparation of key risk documents and regulatory reports, such as internal capital adequacy assessments, recovery plans, and Pillar III disclosures.
* Maintain and improve risk policies, methodologies, and frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulations and best practices.
* Monitor risk indicators, breaches, and incidents, and implement corrective action plans .
* Support stress testing and risk modelling activities (ECL, IRRBB, liquidity projections).
* Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for senior management and committees.
* Participate in projects and initiatives to strengthen risk awareness and culture across the organisation.
* Support the Chief Risk Officer and act as a trusted back-up when required .
Who you are
* Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
* 4-6 years of experience in Risk Management in the banking or financial sector in Luxembourg.
* Solid knowledge across multiple risk types ( credit, market, liquidity, operational ); ICT risk experience is a plus.
* Strong understanding of Luxembourg and European banking regulations (CSSF, EBA, CRR/CRD).
* Excellent analytical, modelling, and communication skills .
* Fluent in English ; additional languages (French, Portuguese) are a plus.
* Risk certifications (FRM, PRM) are an advantage.
