In this role, you take ownership of translating electrical designs into scalable, production-ready systems. You ensure that our electrical architecture is not only technically sound, but also manufacturable, robust, and cost-efficient.
Your focus lies on wiring harness design, BOM management, and PLM integration, acting as the central link between engineering, supply chain, and production.
Our Engineering Principles
* We aim for operational excellence and strive to deliver solutions that work “first time right”.
* We set a high bar and make transparent, engineering-driven decisions on quality, cost, and trade-offs.
* We grow as a team by sharing knowledge, challenging each other, and continuously improving our ways of working.
What You'll Do
* You design and develop wiring harnesses, including:
o cable routing concepts
o connector selection
o crimping, shielding, and protection concepts
* You define modular electrical architectures and pre-assembly concepts (subassemblies) to enable scalable production.
* You create, structure, and maintain bills of materials (BOM), including:
o EBOM to MBOM/SBOM transitions
o variant and configuration management
* You own the integration of electrical data into PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter, ARAS) and ensure data consistency across engineering, procurement, and production.
* You ensure alignment between EPLAN, CAD, and PLM data structures.
* You drive design-for-manufacturing (DfM) and cost optimization for electrical systems.
* You coordinate closely with suppliers and internal functions such as Production Planning and Quality.
* You define and improve processes and SOPs along the electrical supply chain and industrialization workflow.
* You support production, integration, and testing with a strong focus on scalability, robustness, and repeatability.
Your Profile
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification
* Several years of experience in electrical integration, harness design, or industrialization
* Hands-on experience with harness design tools (e.g. EPLAN Harness ProD, Capital, Zuken or similar)
* Strong understanding of connectors, cable assemblies, crimping technologies, and production processes
* Solid experience with BOM structures and PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter, ARAS)
* Experience with variant management and configuration control is a plus
* Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on implementation and scalability
* Structured and detail-oriented way of working
* Fluent in English (German is a plus)
