Global Procurement Specialist
Elevate our ophthalmology and microsurgery capabilities by identifying and developing strategic supplier partnerships.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a comprehensive evaluation framework to assess global suppliers' scalability, cost efficiency, delivery reliability, resilience, and sustainability.
* Collaborate with selected suppliers to achieve predefined development objectives and enhance processes, organization, risk management, production network, etc.
* Implement measures to decrease supplier risk scores resulting from supplier risk assessments.
* Ensure compliance with global regulations, norms, and standards throughout the supply chain.
* Support internal audits and external authority audits.
* National- and international travel activities are expected.
Your Ideal Profile:
* A seasoned procurement professional with 5+ years of experience in supplier management/development.
* Familiarity with Lean-Methods (e.g., Lean-Manufacturing, 5S, Gemba, Six Sigma, CIP, Kaizen, SMED, Total Productive Maintenance, Value Stream Mapping).
* Strong technical knowledge in various production technologies.
* Good understanding of global regulations, norms, and standards.
* Experience in supplier audits and deriving reliable measures to improve supplier performance.
* Good project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders to foster collaboration, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
* Service-oriented capability to bring a strategic vision and hands-on contribution to achieve goals.
* Fluent in English and preferably a second language like German or French.
