Key Responsibilities
* System Engineering support;
* System Operations support in 16×5 rotating shift pattern and offline set-up;
* Supporting scheduled simulations and test operations;
* Preparation of the ground segment systems for scheduled activities, especially the Data Services System and Monitoring and Control System subsystems of scheduled preventive maintenance;
* Delivering and working closely with Subsystem Engineers to ensure that any service changes are correctly implemented and documented;
* On-call services might be requested;
* Updating and validating Ground Control Team procedure and training material.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Engineering degree in Information Technology or Aerospace-related stream (or relevant work experience);
* System administration in LINUX environments, best in an aerospace domain;
* System monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the Operations environment;
* Confident in dealing with Operations requirements;
* Good communication skills and a team player;
* Fast learner and willing to improve;
* Ability to work with little or no supervision and take responsibility;
* Ability for structured troubleshooting and analysis;
* Ability to prioritize different parallel activities;
* Capability of following and implementing standard procedures;
* Problem-solving aptitude;
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Skills
* Understanding of virtualization and networking technologies;
* Certified Linux Professional (e.g. LPIC);
* Certified Cisco Network Associate (e.g. CCNA);
* Knowledge in Storage and/or Linux Backup systems.
