Head of Global ERP & Digital Transformation

A global life sciences organisation is seeking a senior transformation leader to take ownership of a major enterprise-wide ERP and digital process transformation.
This is a strategic, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of business, IT, operations and external delivery partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, governing and driving a global SAP S/4HANA‑led transformation, from planning and mobilisation through to phased international rollout and long-term business adoption.
The role
You will lead the global ERP transformation agenda, ensuring the programme delivers standardised, scalable and business‑aligned processes across multiple functions, markets and operating entities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the global SAP S/4HANA transformation from initial planning through to successful rollout.
* Define and manage the transformation roadmap, governance model and rollout strategy.
* Work closely with business leadership, IT, operations and implementation partners.
* Drive global process harmonisation and standardisation across end‑to‑end business processes.
* Establish clear programme governance, decision‑making structures, milestones and reporting.
* Ensure alignment between business objectives, system design, data, change management and adoption.
* Manage senior stakeholders across international business units and functional areas.
* Oversee partner delivery, internal workstream ownership and business readiness.
* Support ongoing digital optimisation beyond initial implementation.
* Act as a long‑term owner for ERP transformation, business integration, change and continuous improvement.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of ERP transformation leadership, business process understanding and senior stakeholder management.
You should have:
* Significant experience leading SAP, S/4HANA or large‑scale ERP transformation programmes.
* Strong understanding of global process design, template rollout, governance and change management.
* Proven ability to work across business and IT leadership teams.
* Experience managing external implementation partners or systems integrators.
* Strong communication skills and confidence operating with senior stakeholders.
* Experience in pharma, life sciences, medical technology, manufacturing or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
* Ability to balance strategic programme leadership with practical delivery oversight.
