The Strategic Corporate Development department (CCD) supports the development of ZEISS through strategic projects in all areas of the ZEISS Group (business units, corporate functions and country organisations). The experienced team brings in diverse perspectives from different industries and promotes a culture of creative exchange. With fresh ideas and innovative approaches, the team contributes to achieving strategic goals and responding to the challenges of the future.
As Senior Manager you will Work closely with the Executive Board, especially CEO and CFO, the IT management team and the business units to drive the strategic setup of operating models for the IT function to improve organizational clarity and cost efficiencies.
Your role
1. Steer strategic initiatives and take over the technical management of projects with change management, governance implementation of transformation initiatives for the digital/IT function at ZEISS
2. Orchestrate senior stakeholder workshops, follow-up on progress of outcomes and break down high-level ideas into specific actions and cost levers
3. Support, control progress and challenge strategic direction of key initiatives within the digital/IT function to achieve the objectives of the larger business supporting function transformation
4. Work in a complex environment across many business units, country organizations and business supporting functions across the globe
5. As a driving force, you will cooperate with the core team of a larger business supporting transformation program and the business units to evaluate new fields of technology, improve organization efficiency and effectiveness
6. Based on your results, you will develop trend-setting decision papers and have an impact in the strategic development of ZEISS' core digital capabilities
Your profile
7. An outstanding degree in natural sciences, engineering or business administration with a PhD or MBA
8. At least several years of professional experience within one of the leading management consultancies, experience in large transformation programs for business supporting function (esp. for IT/digital) is a plus
9. Experience in (business) transformation and large-scale change projects in complex organizations
10. Outstanding analytical competence, strategic thinking and implementation skills. Passion for innovation, business development and enthusiasm for new technologies
11. Very strong soft skills and empathy to lead multiple stakeholders through organizational change. Enjoy working in an agile way in networked and interdisciplinary teams
12. Fluent in English, both written and spoken; fluent in German is a strong plus
13. Strong sense of humour is a strong plus
