About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development of advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for enhancing digital finance operations through automation.
* End-to-End Ownership: Manage the complete data science lifecycle for various finance use cases, such as forecasting and anomaly detection.
* Business Problem Framing: Collaborate with product managers and finance stakeholders to define key performance indicators and translate business problems into testable hypotheses.
* Model Development: Develop and iterate models using appropriate methods (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, natural language processing), balancing accuracy, speed, and interpretability.
* Experimentation: Design and conduct experiments (A/B tests, backtesting) and clearly communicate results, including trade-offs and business implications.
* Collaboration for Production: Work with data and ML engineers to productionize models and data pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.
This role will be a vital contributor to our finance center of excellence for applied AI and automation.
About You
We're looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist with:
* Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
* Statistical & ML Expertise: Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning; experience with large language models is a plus.
* Programming Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL, with the ability to write production-quality code and collaborate effectively.
* Practical Experience: Experience building high-impact models from prototype to production in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
* Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
