Job Description Export Group Leader / Head of Export Sales / Export Sales Team Leader required to join a manufacturer of signaling technology and safety lighting. The Export Ground Leader / Head of Export Sales / Export Sales Manager / Export Sales Team Leader will be responsible for the line management of 3 export sales staff as well as managing 1 internal support staff, based in Germany. The Export Ground Leader / Head of Export Sales / Export Sales Manager / Export Sales Team Leader will have an engineering sales / technical background, with exposure to export / international sales. People management experience would be ideal in order to help grow and support the team. This role would be reporting the Director of International Sales. This is an office based position at the companies head quarters in the South of Germany, close to the boarder of Switzerland. Ideally within an hours commute or open to relocation if required. Package Up to €100,000 Health management, insurance 30 days holiday Flexible working, 40-50% of the time travelling The Export Ground Leader / Head of Export Sales / Export Sales Manager / Export Sales Team Role Plan and implement export activities Management of 3 Export Sales Managers who cover specific territories Management of 1 Internal Sales Support Management and development of an established and new distributor networks and export markets for several countries Frequent international travel to support regions Apply effective leadership, direction and motivation Review existing distributor performance Ensure regular team meetings, 1:1s, performance management, appraisals and training & development. Use technical / electrical engineering knowledge and sales skills to provide applications support to export distributors Recruitment, training and development of export sales personnel Plan and manage overseas sales through distributors and export markets Provide product education to export distributors Liaise with various engineering departments Working from company HQ in Germany with international travel The Export Ground Leader / Head of Export Sales / Export Sales Manager / Export Sales Team Requirements Proven experience in international / export sales as an Export Sales Manager, Export Sales Engineer, International Sales Manager, International Sales Engineer or exposure to dealing with export / international customers. Some exposure selling engineering products / technical equipment. Any knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, safety, electronics, electrical markets is essential. Sales team management and export experience Happy to work office based with 50% travel Industrial Automation background, has understanding of a manufacturing plant / what these look like.
