Are you passionate about making a significant impact in Germany's renewable energy sector?
A leading company specialising in utility-scale solar and storage solutions is looking for a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join their team.
The Company
Our client is a leading European renewable energy platform with significant backing from a global infrastructure investor. Having grown from a specialist developer into a major independent power producer the business is now entering a new phase of expansion, with a pipeline of over 15 GW of solar and energy storage projects across Europe.
As part of this growth, we are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to take a key leadership role within the German team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-profile position with clear succession potential, offering both hands-on legal responsibility and the chance to shape the future legal structure of the organisation in Germany.
The Role
* Lead on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts across development, construction, land, and commercial activities.
* Provide expert legal advice on property and leasing matters, ensuring projects progress smoothly and within regulatory frameworks.
* Operate as the go-to legal advisor for the German business, maintaining strong collaboration with international colleagues.
* Deliver practical, solutions-oriented guidance to internal stakeholders across development, transactions, and senior management.
* Shape the legal strategy and governance frameworks for the business in Germany, introducing processes that support long-term growth.
* Actively contribute to leadership discussions, influencing key decisions and helping to drive the business forward.
The Person
* Qualified lawyer in Germany with a strong grounding in renewable energy, real estate, and leasing law.
* Minimum 6 years post PQE.
* Experienced in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex project agreements.
* Proactive, diligent, and able to take ownership of structuring legal frameworks.
* Skilled at stakeholder management and relationship building.
* Motivated by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international, and entrepreneurial environment.
* Native-level German speaker with strong English proficiency.
If you're ready to play a crucial role in advancing renewable energy objectives and promoting a greener future I need to hear from you today!
