Purpose of your Job
As a Working Student (f/m/d) in IT at our site in Martinsried, you will contribute to reliable day‑to‑day IT operations and ensure smooth on-site support for our employees. In this role, you will assist with hardware preparation, inventory management, cable organization, and hands-on technical support, helping to maintain an efficient and well-structured IT environment.
Your Responsibility
* Support the maintenance and organization of the IT hardware inventory (e.g., laptops, monitors, peripherals).
* Assist in hardware setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
* Provide on-site support for employees, including technical guidance and handling smaller issues.
* Take responsibility for structured cable management at desks, meeting rooms, and IT storage areas.
* Prepare and deploy new IT equipment, including installation, labelling, and documentation.
* Support the IT team in processing incoming hardware requests and following up on tickets.
* Ensure order and structure in the IT storage and equipment room.
* Collaborate closely with the IT team and other internal departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
What you need to succeed
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* Basic technical understanding of PCs, peripherals, and common IT infrastructure
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good knowledge of German and English (both written and spoken)
* Interest in practical, hardware-focused IT tasks and on-site support
* Reliable, organized, and proactive working approach
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Availability to work on-site 10–20 hours per week
