Senior Consulting Marketing Manager, Germany Location: Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level Employment Type: Full‑time Job Function: Marketing Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Job Description As a Senior Manager of the Marketing Services team, you will be responsible for strategic planning, creating opportunities, designing programs and executing Visa marketing activities with partners and clients. Design and execute long‑term bespoke marketing programs for clients, leveraging extensive payments and marketing expertise to scale client business and accelerate growth. Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans to meet client expectations, run co‑branded marketing campaigns, and provide insight‑driven, data focused, actionable recommendations for relevant products and services across the card lifecycle. Deliver marketing insights and data capabilities to foster deep partnerships with clients through research, studies, and best‑practice benchmarking within the Visa marketing community. Position Visa as a marketing expert, sharing in‑depth analysis of the payments industry, consumer trends, and competition. Proactively engage in client pitches. Identify market opportunities by tracking key payment trends and cardholder behaviour and evaluate them to create strategic recommendations for future business propositions. Align Visa Product, Marketing, and Sales objectives with client business needs, partnering with VCA and Services to ensure a bundled approach in selling services to clients. Review implementation of plans on an ongoing basis and guide internal and external stakeholders to ensure KPIs are achieved. Communicate Visa‑led campaigns as requested with clients, using local and global sponsorship opportunities and Visa partnerships to drive client business. Manage budget, forecasts, production, and campaign tracking in collaboration with clients and third‑party suppliers. Provide quantitative post‑campaign and regular performance analysis in a timely manner and incorporate learnings into future projects. Manage relationships with agencies and partners to ensure top‑level execution. Manage administrative work and processes related to client contracting. This is a hybrid position. The number of days in the office will be confirmed by the hiring manager. Qualifications Significant experience in marketing, working with large clients on co‑marketing campaigns; more than eight years in partnership marketing program roles. Experience in the banking or payments sector is an advantage; good knowledge of key P&L drivers and the ability to build effective business cases. Master’s degree in business or a related field with a marketing foundation. Strategic and creative thinker with a track record of delivery and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from conception to completion. Senior Management experience with exceptional negotiation, deal‑closing, opportunity‑farming, and storytelling skills. Demonstrated track record in managing external clients, agencies, and the development of through‑the‑line campaign materials. Client relationship and management skills and experience managing high‑level leadership stakeholders. Brilliant negotiator with diplomatic, persuasive, data‑driven argumentation, and sales experience. Strong self‑management skills, drive, and energy. Strong team player, able to multitask and work in cross‑functional teams. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on, growth‑orientated environment; adaptable to change.
