We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Irish company that specialises in high-quality vitamin and mineral supplements. With 14 years of success and distribution to over 48 countries worldwide, this is a well-established and fast-growing business known for its strong product quality and values.
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Munster region to join their dynamic Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who wants to work with a market-leading brand and make a real impact in a growing territory.
The ideal candidate will bring strong sales experience, a proactive approach to developing retailer relationships, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism in line with the company’s values.

About the role
The Area Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets by developing sales and building strong relationships with both existing and new retailers across the territory. The role reports directly to the National Sales Manager, and the successful candidate should ideally live within the Munster area. We are looking for someone with experience in a similar sales role, along with solid knowledge of the vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) category and/or a genuine interest in nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop sales and achieve your weekly, quarterly, and annual targets.
2. Increase distribution numbers and rate of sale in your area.
3. Identifying and acting on new business opportunities.
4. Instore merchandising & POS placement.
5. Implement and execute the operational field strategy for the area.
6. Contribute to the delivery of all key financials, budgets and targets.
7. Educate customers on our product range, market and category opportunities.
8. Make events & tastings educational and informative.
9. Introduce new products and meet brand distribution targets.
10. Agree and implement promotions with your customers
11. Build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.
12. Know your competitors and what is going on in the market.
13. Maintain and update the company CRM daily.
14. Report weekly against sales targets and KPI’s

Key Personal Requirements

15. Demonstrative knowledge of VMS /Nutrition in Health Store & Pharmacy sectors.
16. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in commercial sales ideally in VMS or Pharma
17. Relevant industry experience or a 3rd level qualification in a relevant area.
18. Excellent can-do attitude and a team player
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Experience & component negotiation & selling skills.
21. Excellent planning & time management skills
22. Competent problem solver
23. Computer literate & working knowledge of a CRM tool.
24. Full clean Irish Driver’s License.
