A global provider of advanced marine environmental and onboard utility systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to support vessel operations worldwide. The company delivers engineered solutions focused on wastewater treatment, fluid handling, automation, and sustainable maritime technologies.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of marine technical systems onboard vessels and within shipyard environments. The position requires strong hands-on technical capability, customer interaction, and a willingness to travel internationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Commissioning and start-up of onboard wastewater treatment and vacuum systems
* Maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of pumps, control systems, and related equipment
* Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues and carrying out corrective actions
* Performing system testing in line with marine and regulatory standards
* Providing technical guidance and basic operational training to vessel crews
* Producing accurate service documentation and escalating complex technical issues where required
* Ensuring compliance with maritime safety and environmental procedures
Candidate Profile
* Technical qualification in marine engineering, electrical engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in field service, marine systems, industrial equipment, or automation environments
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Experience with PLC/HMI systems would be advantageous
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-focused approach
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to travel extensively and work onboard vessels globally
* Valid passport and offshore medical fitness
* Full driving licence
