A rapidly growing global renewable energy technology company is expanding its presence in Germany and is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead its commercial and operational activities in one of Europe’s most important renewable energy markets.
The organisation is a market leader in solar and energy storage technology, operating in more than 100 countries worldwide and supporting the deployment of large-scale renewable energy projects across utility, commercial, and industrial sectors. With significant investment and long-term commitment to the European market, the company is now building out its German leadership team to support continued growth.
This role will take ownership of business development, strategic partnerships, and project oversight across solar and storage solutions in Germany, working closely with international teams across Europe and global headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
* Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand the company’s presence in Germany.
* Identify and develop new opportunities in solar PV, battery energy storage, and hybrid energy solutions.
* Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
Project Oversight
* Oversee project development and delivery from planning through execution.
* Ensure projects meet timeline, budget, and quality standards.
* Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Strategic Partnerships
* Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and key stakeholders.
* Lead contract negotiations and strategic agreements with partners and customers.
* Act as the primary client contact for strategic projects and partnerships.
Market Representation
* Represent the company at industry conferences, trade fairs, and energy events.
* Support networking initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand presence within the German renewable energy market.
Leadership & International Coordination
* Monitor performance of commercial initiatives and project pipelines.
* Work closely with international teams to ensure alignment with global strategy and best practices.
* Contribute to the long-term growth strategy for the German market.
Requirements
Experience
* 10+ years’ experience in renewable energy, ideally within solar PV and/or energy storage.
* Strong background in business development and project leadership in the German energy market.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related field.
* MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
* Strong understanding of solar PV systems, battery energy storage solutions (BESS), and European energy regulations.
Skills
* Proven leadership and team management experience.
* Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach.
Languages
* Fluent German and English required.
* Additional European languages are a plus.
Mobility
* Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and across Europe.
