Job Description Summary The Service Technician II is responsible for all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on the Merkur customers site / property within his team. This includes all types of maintenance services (i.e. preventive and corrective), managing maintenance facilities, and coordinate with your Site Management Team on the SOV and other support functions. Driving operational excellence, quality and safety is key priority for this role. Job Description Essential Responsibilities As the Service Technician II, Offshore Wind, you will: Lead the operational team. Be fully responsible for the execution of all service-related tasks with respect to EHS (ToolBoxTalks, Incident Reporting, etc.), Lockout/Tagout Process Knowledge (LOTO), Taking over the Anlagenverantwortung (ANLV) while working on the WEC. Be the point of contact for the GE Site Management and representing your team and being able to motivate your team Coordinate and perform administrative activities as per relevant service processes, including tracking work activities, manage component/parts deliveries to/from your location or on the SOV Participate in process & quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your Site Management Team Able to coordinate the teamwork on customer location (leading the team, being the center of contact) and to align with marine transfer pickup times Able to react on short notice work condition changes due to changes in the planning or weather related Qualifications/Requirements Successfully completion of professional education/apprenticeship in an electrical technical discipline with professional experience or other additional education (for example EFFT) to cover a basic electrical background ideally a solid electrical background Ability and willingness to work offshore in a rotational shift system on a vessel Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment, remote teams, strong team player Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance according to the manufactureru2019s specifications at Avanti Pegasus XL service lift or Palfinger PSM400 service crane are plus Ideally Proven rope access experience Self-starter with leadership and communication skills ideally demonstrated ability to lead a team Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written); German language skills are plus Benefits One of the worldu2019s leading manufacturers of carbon-neutral and sustainable energy generation systems u2013 a future-oriented industry!
