About our client
Our client is a technology firm offering robotic automation solutions and an online platform to configure and procure robotics components, enabling manufacturers to adopt cost-effective automation. Supported by established investors, they are preparing for accelerated growth and international expansion. They are seeking a CFO to join their team as a key business partner to the CEO. The role is based in the Paderborn area, Germany.
What the job involves
1. Developing, maintaining, and adapting the company's financial business model in line with growth plans, and defining and executing financial strategies for expansion.
2. Establishing company-wide budgets, creating controlling and reporting structures, managing stakeholder communications, and overseeing cash flow management.
3. Setting up and managing cost accounting systems, analyzing cost structures, and ensuring effective margin management across all business units.
4. Overseeing operational financial management, including purchasing, bookkeeping, and legal processes.
5. Handling international tax reports and developing tax structures to support global growth.
6. Improving product accessibility through flexible financing options, working with leasing and RaaS financing partners.
7. Developing and expanding financial partnerships to drive growth and customer value.
8. Managing investor relations by preparing reports and updates in collaboration with the CEO.
9. Leading fundraising efforts for public and private funds, including venture capital, and leveraging public initiatives.
10. Supporting M&A activities with financial structuring, due diligence, and acquisition assessments.
Who we are looking for
1. University degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
2. Several years of senior financial experience with a focus on cost accounting, margin management, and operational finance.
3. A strategic, hands-on approach with deep operational finance, cost analysis, and margin management knowledge.
4. Proven track record in managing cost structures, improving margins, and driving profitability.
5. Strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, controlling, and operational finance.
6. Excellent communication skills, especially with investors and financial partners.
7. Relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
8. Proactive, results-driven decision-making and problem-solving approach.
9. In-depth M&A, due diligence, and financial integration experience.
10. Expertise in international taxation and structuring financial and tax models for global expansion.
11. Previous experience in hardware-related companies is beneficial.
12. Fluent in German and English, with strong presentation skills.
