We’re looking for a strategic, analytical Demand Planner who enjoys turning data into insight, collaborating across functions, and shaping demand planning excellence across European markets.
In this role, you will lead regional demand planning for metal cans and ends, ensuring accurate, SKU‑level forecasts that support strong customer service, efficient operations, and confident business decisions.
Your Role & Impact
As Regional Demand and Forecasting planner, you will own and drive the regional demand planning strategy, balancing statistical forecasting with commercial insight and customer collaboration. You will play a key role in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), supporting both short‑term execution and mid‑term planning while managing product lifecycle changes and new product launches.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customers, and Production teams to ensure demand plans reflect real market needs and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting & Planning
1. Own regional, SKU‑level demand forecasts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives
2. Integrate short‑term (STP) and mid‑term (MTP) planning horizons
3. Develop and maintain robust statistical and customer‑driven forecast models
4. Build and compare what‑if scenarios based on promotions, supply constraints, or demand shifts
5. Provide demand insights for S&OP and S&OE processes
Data Analysis & Insights
6. Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources
7. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting demand
8. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
9. Monitor and improve forecast accuracy KPIs, driving root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement
Product Lifecycle & NPI Management
10. Lead demand planning for new product introductions (NPI) and product lifecycle management (PLM)
11. Ensure smooth transitions from launch through growth, maturity, and phase‑out
12. Align forecasts with launch plans, customer commitments, and production readiness
13. Manage SKU changes from introduction to obsolescence
14. Support portfolio decisions with strong analytical insight
Customer & Commercial Collaboration
15. Partner with Sales and Key Customers to gather demand signals and align forecasts
16. Run volume alignment sessions with regional teams and key accounts
17. Incorporate customer input and available POS data into demand plans
18. Present SKU‑level insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Systems, Reporting & Process Excellence
19. Act as a key business partner for SAP IBP, supporting configuration, optimization, and ways of working
20. Collaborate with system and transformation teams and external consultants
21. Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision‑making
22. Standardize demand planning methodologies across the region
23. Champion best practices in forecasting, analytics, and data management
Leadership & Ways of Working
24. Act as a subject‑matter expert and mentor within the wider demand and supply community
25. Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and customer focus
26. Influence without formal authority in a matrix environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education
27. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science
28. 5+ years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, analytics, or supply chain roles
29. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or packaging environments is a strong advantage
Skills & Expertise
30. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into decisions
31. Advanced Excel skills (macros a plus); knowledge of Python or SQL is an advantage
32. Experience with demand planning and ERP systems
33. Knowledge of SAP IBP / SAP ECC / SAP HANA and S&OP processes is highly desirable
34. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, international environment
35. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
