Key Role: IT Service Portfolio Manager
This senior position is a key part of the Corporate IT organization, responsible for managing and evolving the IT Service Portfolio to ensure strategic alignment, transparency, and efficiency in delivering IT services across the organization.
The role focuses on structuring, documenting, and strategically aligning the IT Service Portfolio, covering current, future, and end-of-life services. This ensures that the portfolio reflects business priorities, information security aspects, supports informed decision-making, and drives the evolution of our IT service landscape in line with corporate goals.
In close cooperation with service owners, finance, information security, demand, and catalogue management functions, this role fosters cross-functional collaboration and transparency across all levels of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
* Strategic responsibility for the alignment and continuous development of the IT Service Portfolio and its operability
* Ensuring transparency and consistency across current, future, and end-of-life IT services
* Defining and governing service design principles, structures, and documentation standards
* Collaborating closely with financial management, IT controlling, demand management, service implementation, and operations
* Supporting budgeting, cost allocation models, and service pricing mechanisms
* Providing KPI-based regular IT service portfolio reporting (e.g., SLA compliance, utilization, financials, performance) and risk management
* Driving the maturity of IT service management across the organization
* Engaging with service owners, catalogue managers, and other portfolio stakeholders
* Participating in regular meetings and workshops with adjacent departments such as service implementation and IT operation
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Several years of experience in IT Service Management, Application Lifecycle Management, Portfolio or Catalogue Management
* University degree in business informatics or a comparable field
* Practical experience in IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT
* ITIL Foundation certification (or higher), ideally complemented by COBIT certification
* Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and quality-driven working style
* Exceptional conceptual thinking and communication abilities
* Experience in IT financial structures and service governance processes
* Experience in the definition, negotiation, and implementation of SLAs and further KPIs
* Fluent English skills in written and spoken form (ideally C1 level), German is a plus
