To support the Competence Center Aggregates in Heidelberg, we are looking for a working student (m/f/d) in the area of Global Geology, Reserve and Mine Planning starting in July 2025, for 15–20 hours per week. An internship of at least 6 months is also possible.
You will actively work with the Global Geology, Reserve and Mine Planning team. This team initiates and coordinates global activities in the areas of geology, raw material security, extraction planning, and reserve & resource reporting, and serves as the central hub for raw material-related topics within the Heidelberg Materials Group.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
1. Your tasks will be diverse, interesting, and demanding
2. You will support and contribute to various daily activities (e.g. raw material security, extraction planning, permitting processes, knowledge management, etc.)
3. You will update and manage data in the Heidelberg Materials Geographic Information System
4. Spatial data preparation using CAD/ Geo-Mining software
YOUR PROFILE
5. You are studying in the field of geosciences
6. You are in the advanced stage of your bachelor's or at the beginning of your master's program
7. You have a quick grasp of new topics and excellent skills in MS Office
8. Ideally, you have prior experience with open-source GIS tools and programming in PHP and JavaScript
9. You work independently and responsibly and have very good English skills
10. You are creative and solution-oriented
11. You are open, communicative, and integrate quickly into a team
