Your Responsibilities
The Opportunity:

The appointed lecturer is expected to carry out all academic duties in accordance with the requirements of the English Department. These duties include, but are not limited to, teaching, grading and assessment, preparation of teaching materials, proofreading of academic content, and participation in departmental meetings. A high level of collaboration, professionalism, and flexibility is essential and considered a core expectation of the role.
The teaching load comprises up to 700 teaching hours per academic year, in addition to 40 hours of on-campus attendance to support departmental and academic activities.
Your tasks:
* Teaching the modules
* Grading the assignments and exams
* Proofreading of texts
* Participation in the meetings of the department
* Providing the lesson plans
* Course materials preparation
* Exam invigilation
Your profile
Essential:
Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
* English Language
* Linguistics
* Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL / TEFL or related disciplines)
* Relevant teaching experience
Desirable:
* Familiarity with CEFR and outcomes-based teaching
* Classroom management in multicultural and international classrooms
* Experience with academic writing, presentations, and exam preparation
* Experience in syllabus design or adapting existing curricula
* Ability to create or revise teaching materials
* Experience with assessment, grading, and feedback
* Proofreading and academic editing skills (important if materials require approval)
