About Our Research Centre
The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is a leading interdisciplinary research centre. We conduct cutting-edge research in Systems Biology and Biomedicine.
We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and their contributing factors.
Our talented team of scientists from various disciplines come together to contribute to science and society.
Your Key Role
You will be part of the Enzymology & Metabolism group, a dynamic and international team, where you will unravel how metabolic impairments are involved in rare and more common neurodegenerative or neurometabolic diseases.
We exploit genomic and postgenomic data to fill gaps in metabolic networks, discover new enzyme functions, and elucidate their role in disease. For disease genes of interest, human cell and animal models are generated for molecular phenotyping and testing of therapeutic approaches.
* Molecular biology techniques, including cloning, PCR, vector design and production
* Preparation of DNA samples for sequencing and analysis of sequencing results
* Metabolite and RNA extraction, and sample preparation for metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses
