Join our diverse team to contribute to projects that positively impact communities across Europe. Tasks We are seeking a Legal Associate to join our in-house legal team in Hamburg. The role will focus primarily on Germany while supporting cross-border legal matters across Europe. The Legal Associate will provide legal guidance on renewable project development, land acquisition, regulatory compliance, stakeholder negotiations, contract management, and participation in M&A and joint venture processes. Key Responsibilities Support renewable project development teams with legal advice and documentation Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including land agreements and partnership contracts Address regulatory and compliance matters related to renewable energy projects Contribute to M&A and joint venture processes, providing transactional support Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders across Europe Conduct legal research and provide solutions to complex legal issues Maintain flexibility to handle tasks beyond standard responsibilities in a small, boutique team Requirements Law degree (JD or equivalent) with legal qualification in Germany 4–6 years of professional experience in an in-house role or law firm, preferably within renewable energy; candidates with general energy, real estate, or corporate/transactional experience will also be considered Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus Experience in cross-border legal contexts Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-driven mindset Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a small, dynamic team Candidates based in Hamburg or willing to relocate will be prioritized Benefits What we offer: At Nexun, we believe in empowering our team to drive the transition to a low-carbon economy while enjoying a supportive and dynamic work environment.
