Your Responsibilities:
7. Design, implement and test high-performance C++ applications and libraries (C++17 or later)
8. Develop and maintain cross-platform software solutions compatible with Unix and Windows environments
9. Utilise CMake to manage build systems and streamline development workflows
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and integrate components
11. Contribute to the development of simulation tools and frameworks where applicable
12. Implement and integrate gRPC-based communication between distributed services
13. Participate in system architecture discussions and apply sound software design principles
14. Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI/ML integration and model-based control patterns (MCP)
15. Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code and conduct peer code reviews
Your Profile:
16. Completed studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
17. Professional experience in Simulation Development (e.g. physics engines, real-time systems, numerical modeling) as well as in developing software in Unix / Linux and Windows environments
18. Experience in multi-threading, networking, low-latency system design and with gRPC and protocol buffers for service-to-service communication
19. Experience in simulation or AI is a plus
20. Solid understanding of systems architecture and software design principles (e.g. modularity, scalability, performance optimisation)
21. Very good skills in C++ (C++17 or newer) and CMake
22. Skills in version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines and debugging tools
23. Fluent English skills spoken and written
24. German skills are desirable
