Position profile
As Head of Sales, you will play a critical role in driving our business forward. You will be responsible for the development and execution of a strategic sales plan, while leading and inspiring a high-performing team.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Developing and executing a sales strategy to achieve company targets and grow the customer base
* Meeting annual objectives in terms of volume, profitability, and market share
* Setting and managing team targets aligned with forecasts and business plans
* Preparing and overseeing the annual sales budget, utilizing bottom-up and top-down planning methods
* Leading post-merger integration and managing change in acquired companies
* Inspiring and coaching the sales team to meet KPIs and drive performance
* Ensuring employee retention, training, and professional development
* Implementing and managing a global operational sales model and performance development processes
* Driving continuous improvement by identifying best practices, analyzing trends, and applying insights
* Conducting competitive analysis and reporting on sales metrics
* Actively contributing as a member of the management team to the company’s overall strategic goals
* Representing and promoting the company’s brands in the German market
Candidate profile
The Vice President Sales Germany plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth within the German market, requiring a dynamic manager with a deep understanding of sales strategy, sales processes, and sales management.
Education & Background
* Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable field
Professional Experience
* Several years of experience as Head of Sales, Sales Director, or Sales Manager, ideally in a retail or multi-site organization with focus on retail
* Consulting-intensive retail background, e.g. luxury goods trade /watches/ jewelry, medical technology & healthcare products, furniture & furnishings, etc.
* Strong leadership background with a focus on team development and coaching
* Demonstrated success in managing the full sales cycle from strategy to closing
* Proven experience in change management and navigating organizational transformation
Skills & Competencies
* Solid understanding of business and financial metrics, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
* Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills across all levels—including C-level
* Excellent negotiation, listening, and interpersonal skills
* High level of personal drive, resilience, and the ability to lead through change
Other Requirements
* High mobility and willingness to travel regularly
* Fluent in German (mandatory) and business-fluent in English
