What are my responsibilities?
1. Develop, own and execute the global quality strategy, aligned with Interroll's business objectives and growth plans.
2. Partner directly with Engineering and R&D leaders to establish and govern a robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework for all new product developments, innovations and major change projects.
3. Establish global standards for production process control, inspection, and testing protocols across all manufacturing sites.
4. Lead major, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives (utilizing methodologies like 8D) for critical field failures or customer escalations, driving to root cause and permanent correction.
5. Develop and execute a global supplier quality management strategy, including qualification, audit, performance monitoring, and development programs.
6. Champion a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility. Partner with the Interroll Academy to develop and deploy a global quality curriculum for training on core tools, standards, and problem-solving.
7. Act as the key quality advisor and partner to the leadership teams in Operations, Technology, and Sales.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
8. Master degree or equivalent education in mechanical engineering
9. Minimum of 5 years’ management and leadership experience in a comparable role in Quality
10. Deep knowledge on quality methods and tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis) and engineering methods and tools such as APQP and PPAP
11. Pragmatic and Hands-on in Execution Excellence
12. Able to foster global collaboration with an intercultural mindset
13. Taking Ownership and Accountability (“Own the solution”)
14. Provide People Management with ethical leadership
15. Min. C1 in English and German, additional languages a strong plus
