Our team provides expert knowledge and delivery capabilities to leading healthcare providers in collaboration with local firms.The OpportunityAs a software architect, you will collaborate with international experts across technology, business, and healthcare sectors. Software development is a core strength of DHEC, pivotal in delivering digital health solutions. We aim to strengthen our technical expertise with your contribution.Your Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and guide the development team to maintain the architectural vision.Coordinate with near- and offshore technical teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.Collaborate with clinical teams, administrators, and healthcare professionals to prioritize and address software requirements.Evaluate and select software development technologies, tools, and platforms.Design architectural blueprints and communicate requirements to stakeholders including project managers, scrum masters, product owners, and developers.Provide training and support in business development.Skills, Attributes, and Future-Shaping QualitiesStrong communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills for technical and business audiences.Proficiency in the local language of residence; fluency in English is required; additional languages like Italian, Portuguese, or German are a plus.Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.Flexibility to travel.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field; master’s or certifications are advantageous.At least 5 years of experience, including 2 years in healthcare, focusing on native mobile app development (Android/iOS). Experience with hybrid/web solutions is a plus.Deep understanding of mobile app development frameworks and OS characteristics.Knowledge of software architectures across all layers—network, infrastructure, security, persistence, application, and frontend.Experience in technical concepts, database design, and data modeling.Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.Knowledge of healthcare system landscapes and interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR, OMOP, openEHR.Understanding of the German healthcare landscape, including TI, HIS, LIMS systems.Preferred QualificationsEstablished network in the healthcare industry and consulting experience.Awareness of emerging healthcare technologies and ability to drive their adoption.Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum or SAFe.Ability to read and develop code in languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, PHP.What We OfferAt EY, you will develop future-focused skills, gain world-class experiences, and work in a flexible, inclusive environment.
