We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Heidelberg based team and have the opportinity to work on multiple domains.
Job Responsibilities:
Effective RMTS team member – Reliability, Maintainability, Testability and Safety Collaboration with multiple international engineering domains, e.g. Hardware, Software and Test Equipment Team with the main focus on:
Safety Engineering:
1. Responsible for providing evidence that the system and the development process meet airworthiness design standards
2. Reviews, contributes, and approves subsystem development planning
3. Ensures completeness of the Safety Program Plan and that overall development methods align with the objectives of the applicable safety assessment process
4. Performs the required Safety Analyses (SFHA, PSSA, SSA) in accordance with certification authority guidance, industry standard recommended practices and company processes
Reliability Engineering:
5. Performing reliability predictions and analysis based on industry standards and historical data
6. Responsible for preparation of failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) and Failure Catalogue on Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), module and functional level
7. Working with design engineers to incorporate reliability requirements into product designs
8. Presenting reliability findings to management and customers
Qualifications:
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Electrical Eng., Computer Eng., Systems Engineering, Communications Eng., Aerospace Eng. or equivalent
10. NATO-citizenship due to work on classified projects; an existing security clearance would be of advantage
11. Enhanced knowledge about aerospace equipment / Line Replaceable Units
12. Collaboration with multiple engineering domains, e.g. Hardware, Software and Test Equipment Team
13. Basic understanding of circuit diagram analysis for FMECA generation
14. Experienced in schematics design
15. Experienced in Safety Analysis on LRU and/or platform systems level
16. Experience in problem solving within given boundary conditions
17. Experienced in requirement capturing
18. Application of DO254 / DO178B/C / ARP4754 standards
19. Interpersonal quality (teamplayer)
20. Mandatory: English B2+/C at minimum; optional: German B2 or better
Experience with the following tools:

25. Tortoise SVN
26. PTC Windchill
27. Supporting knowledge/experience:
28. Familiar with typical avionic signal standards
29. MIL-Bus 1553, ARINC 429, RS232, Ethernet
30. Familiar with typical computer signal standards
31. Ethernet, PCIe, SATA, IIC
