Tasks
Designing, implementing, documenting, and optimising cloud and enterprise network solutions
Administering, operating, and maintaining cloud-based and on-premise IT infrastructure
Monitoring and maintaining cloud networking components and infrastructure services
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in cloud environments and network infrastructures
Providing technical support, guidance, and advice to users and stakeholders
Analysing system performance, security, and reliability, making recommendations for improvements
Ensuring secure and efficient network operations, including IP addressing, routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VPN management
Working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance business operations
Staying up to date with the latest trends in cloud computing, automation, and network security
Contributing to internal and cross-functional projects to drive innovation and process improvements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering, or similar)
Profound skills in the area of network standards & architectures
Knowledge of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN
Experience in managing and operating enterprise network environments with core network service technology, e.g. VPN, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, SD-WAN, OSPF, BGP, Proxy, etc.
Profound knowledge of routing and global peering
Profound knowledge in Software-defined networking (SDN) and SD-WAN
Experience in automation, infrastructure as a code (IaC), cloud-related common programming, scripting and code development
Advanced experience with firewalls and firewall policies
Hands-on attitude and holistic approach
Strong analytical skills as well as ability to work solution-oriented, structured and to think outside of the box
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
Good team working skills and willingness to work and perform in a modern multi-national / inter-disciplinary team across Europe
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Fluency in written and spoken German and English
