Our Threat Detection Engineering team is responsible for identifying potential security threats to our systems and infrastructure. With a team of 7 colleagues (f/m/d) we manage and improve our detection solutions and work in close cooperation with our Threat intelligence and Response teams.
meaningful & challenging - Your tasks
1. Develop and continuously optimise use cases together with incident response and threat intelligence analysts (f/m/d) to detect threats and cyber attacks, protecting the E.ON Group
2. Acting as a competent counterpart (f/m/d) for our business units. Translation of business requirements into individual use cases and thereby strengthen security monitoring capabilities
3. Taking part in purple teaming exercises to continuously ensure use case effectivity and to actively identify gaps in the existing detection logic
4. Support occasional threat hunting activities to proactively search for current cyber threats within the E.ON environment
5. Ensure our team has an appropriate and comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures and specifications for documentation for the detection service and ensure that these are followed internally and by service providers.

6. Completed academic degree in Information Security, Cyber Security or a related field
7. Several years of experience in the realm of Data Analytics and SIEM solutions
8. Practical experience in searching and querying large amounts of data as well as good experience with the MITRE-ATT&CK framework
9. Strong expertise with Public Clouds like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
10. Experience working with tools like MS Sentinel, Splunk and XSOAR are beneficial
11. Excellent and effective communication skills and the ability to clearly describe complex issues
12. Capable of managing complex-tasks and well-developed project management skills
13. Fluent English language skills are essential, German language skills are advantageous
