About The Role
Seasoned Supplier Quality & Development professional works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on their area of responsibility. The role may manage Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects. The individual uses experience and knowledge to influence supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
Job Description
* Conduct supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
* Analyze and make recommendations on quality data and the development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
* Provide research on and explanations of root cause analysis & problem solving (Red‑X & 8D) in escape management procedures. Develop corrective and/or preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers.
* Conduct processes and procedures for supplier qualification / certification, source inspection and material release processes, and Correction Action Boards / DQ Clinics with suppliers.
* Drive support for the Carrier Supplier Gold program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
* Review processes and metrics and make recommendations to ensure supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance.
Requirements
* Completed technical qualification (minimum: Technician).
* Several years of professional experience in Supplier Quality and Supplier Development.
* Strong knowledge of Quality Management and Materials/Supply Management.
* Methodological expertise: structured problem solving (8D) and experience with FMEA, SPC, and audit management.
* Experience in complaint and escalation management.
* SAP knowledge and strong user skills in spreadsheet and presentation tools (e.g., Excel/PowerPoint).
* Willingness to travel, 40 %.
* Completed degree (Business Administration or Engineering) preferred.
* International experience in Supplier Quality & Development preferred.
* Automotive experience preferred.
* German language skills in addition to very good English preferred.
