They are now entering an exciting new phase, the transition from innovation into true high-volume industrial scale. As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a Head of Technology Transfer to take full ownership of how their proprietary technology is deployed, scaled, and protected across multiple global manufacturing environments. Build from the ground up – define and implement the entire technology transfer framework & build your own team Real impact – your work directly enables global manufacturing scale-up International scope – UK, Germany, and partner sites globally Highly visible – operating at the intersection of Technology, Commercial, Project, R&D and Executive leadership Cutting-edge technologies – next-gen solar/advanced materials The Role Own and drive the end-to-end technology transfer strategy across internal and partner manufacturing sites Build structured frameworks (stage gates, KPIs, governance) to enable scalable, repeatable transfer Lead equipment replication, line build-outs, and manufacturing scale-up activities Act as the key interface across Technology, Product, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal/IP, and Commercial Manage programme risk, mitigation, and executive communication Ensure robust IP protection and controlled transfer of sensitive know-how Oversee manufacturing readiness, process definition, and production ramp strategy Lead onsite deployment – installation, commissioning, and line stand-up Establish training, documentation, and certification standards Build and implement post-transfer support models (SLA-driven) across partner sites What They’re Looking For Proven leadership in technology transfer, industrialisation, or manufacturing scale-up Experience within high-tech environments such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, solar, or advanced materials Strong track record delivering complex, multi-site programmes or technology transfers within high volume manufacturing. Experience working with partners, JVs, or distributed manufacturing models Ability to operate across technical and commercial domains with credibility Solid understanding of IP protection and controlled technology transfer Willingness to travel English language is mandatory.
