Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Design Architect to contribute to the definition and development of next-generation Automotive Microcontrollers. In this critical role, you will lead the design of complex micro-architectures, working on advanced embedded systems that power future automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and architect next-generation automotive microcontroller subsystems, focusing on:
* Embedded Audio Systems – including voice detection, noise cancellation, and interface integration.
* Communication Subsystems – such as Ethernet, CAN, and FlexRay.
* Memory Architectures – including Flash, SRAM, RRAM, and external DDR.
* Collaborate with fellow architects and RTL designers to explore and validate innovative design concepts.
* Analyze application-specific workloads to identify and resolve performance and power efficiency bottlenecks.
* Leverage strong communication and leadership skills to influence technical decisions across a diverse, global team.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in digital micro-architecture design, with deep expertise in at least one of the following domains:
* Signal processing and audio systems
* Automotive communication protocols
* CPU subsystem design and memory infrastructure
* Familiarity with embedded CPU architectures such as Arm Cortex, ARC, or RISC-V; experience with AHB/AXI interconnects is a strong plus.
* Working knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and/or Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) standards.
* Proficient in hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and embedded software languages (C, C++).
* Comfortable with scripting in Perl and/or Python.
* Experienced with evaluating system performance using industry-standard benchmarks and workloads.
